With every candidacy, you need to have a running mate. With that running mate, you need to know that they will do the best they can for the school and the community as a whole. With that, I have chosen two running mates for the 2008 year. Matti Bogdan who will handle our treasury and money issues and Joe Veth who will uphold the Vice Presidency, if elected, that is!

More information is forth coming, but soon we will be meeting to discuss our plans for the future. ;)

Announcement – Running for President

On October 31st, 2007, I have announced my run for President of the Student Body President of the University of Advancing Technology. First I want to give a background on what my focus will be if elected to presidency.

What can I do for you?
As a president, you have to do whatever you can to make your people happy. I am glad to do this, because with every smiling face, I can see that someone is doing a good job in making the best of out anything come true. From running events, to helping in the community I will do what I can to make sure that the people involved and the students are as happy as they can be. So, with that in mind, what can I do for you? What is the biggest barrier that you want to cross, what is the biggest objective you want to accomplish here at the University of Advancing Technology? I want you, the student, to give me an objective and I wish to complete that objective, for you and the school alike.

Student Government
Running StuGo should be a fun and thrilling experience. Filled with obstacles and challenges. I want to make sure the necessary steps are taken so that you can freely come talk with me and ask of me whatever you desire. I want my time to be your time and vice versa. Whether it be, getting to your next class or finding out which class is right for you in your progress to your degree, I want you to let me know what you should expect out of your classes and your experience here at UAT. Please feel free to let me know of any qualms you have with any teacher and let me know what you want to do to solve the situation.

Troubleshooting
Is there something wrong with student government in your eyes that you want fixed? Do you think something that the University is doing wrong that should be corrected? Voice your opinion to me and my fellow peers and we will work with you to get it corrected or fixed. There is no little or big problems we cannot fix. Of course, bigger problems like parking and residential life is harder to fix, but in due time they will be corrected. If you have the patients and the determination, you can have whatever your dreams are, come true in an instant.

My focus isn’t trying to win your vote. I have a lot of ideas and I wish to spread my ideas to all of you like wildfire. I am not trying to gain an entourage or to make enemies during this election. I am just running my race and doing my best to do whatever it is to help you have the best experience here at the University of Advancing Technology.

I thank you very much,

Jason Bassett
Candidate for President of 2008

New Blog — I May Use This…

Being a game designer, it’s tough to jot down some really good thoughts to people to show how I am progressing and I haven’t found a blog for me to do that, but I think I finally found that blog and I believe that Word Press looks like a new ticket to blogging.

Who am I?
Who am I you ask? My name is Jason and I am originally from Boston, Massachusetts. I am going to school at the University of Advancing Technology down in Arizona. Yes, the same Arizona that burns your flesh you stay outside for three seconds. If you are wondering what this blog will be about, it’s basically a romp through my life and my constant attempt to be part of the growing video game industry. I hope to have a plethora of blogs in the coming weeks, so be prepared for them!
